Original flyer for The Wretched of the Earth exhibition at Wollenski Art Gallery, located at Washington and Penn Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. The show featured artists Caleb Scott, Guillermo Garza, and Chaka Mkali, and was funded by a grant written by Laura Schlick (Crisalys). This flyer is significant as it documents Mkali’s first exhibition in Minneapolis. The image itself marks a turning point in his visual language — bridging his earlier work in Los Angeles with the stark black-and-white palette that would become central to his painting practice.
