Painting found me at age 12, a revelation sparked by the vibrant language of graffiti that whispered ancient tales in the alleys of my youth. It was more than just paint on walls; it was a living mythology reaching out, shaping my destiny. Instinctively, I surrendered to its call, embarking on a lifelong journey devoted to the arts, particularly painting and printmaking.
My path led me to the School of Visual Arts in New York City, studying painting and art history, immersed in the company of contemporary artists and with regular pilgrimages to the city's museums on the subway. But it was in the galleries of New York—both contemporary and secondary market—where I truly honed my craft. Surrounded by skilled practitioners, I absorbed the nuances of the art business like a sponge.
Upon returning to my roots in Minneapolis, I found my niche in working with private collections, local institutions and as a creative director. It is here that I unearthed my superpower: the ability to discern the ineffable magic within art and connect others with it. This revelation laid the foundation for my current curatorial, art advisory, and art brokerage businesses.
Today, my work is a testament to the transformative power of art. And through my businesses, I am privileged to share this magic with others.
